I don't think their approach of relying on HRs and neglecting starting pitching is going to go very far in the playoffs. This can work to beat Toronto 4-3 on 4 home runs, but could easily fail in the ALDS and ALCS.

The team might even match or exceed the 100 wins from last year, but they are built to win regular season games not playoff games.

They are way too right handed heavy on offense and lack a #1 starter, more like a rotation of #3 , 5 inning guys, the only one that goes long is Tanaka, I guess he has to considered their current #1 ?
A top team with an ace right handed starter can shut them out

I'm a Yankee fan but I do recognize their weaknesses. They didn't need big bats like Machado or another top reliever like Kimbrel, but a Keuchel would helped, now I think they want 34 y.o., Max Scherzer, they need something above internal options to win 3 playoff series and possibly even the WC game.

I think the Red Sox will challenge them for the division. It should be a pretty tight finish between the Yanks, Sox, and Rays

This might be the highest scoring game of the year, or quite a few years !
